About the Game

Jumping Jack is a solo adventure / platformer game.
We play as Jack, a little egg who doesn't know what he is. He wakes up one fine morning with the desire to go on an adventure. In this adventure Jack will meet many colorful characters.

Jack will learn to evolve in the world in a different way, by rolling, on foot, by climbing trees, by flying etc. Each way of getting around allows Jack to backtrack and discover a new place on the map. As he goes on his adventure, Jack will therefore evolve his abilities by coming to the aid of the various characters he meets.
About My Work
My intentions when creating this small prototype were:
Create a game centered around a simplistic core gameplay, “How to moove”. And prove in my thesis that only one mechanic is enough to be able to create a level design allowing backtracking and improvement of the character's abilities.

Make a game from A to Z on my own and thus be able to improve my programming in C #.

So I made this short prototype from A to Z. From the realization of its concept, to its GDD. I then did the level design workflow and then set up the greybox.

A lot of my work has been learning and doing programming. Accompanied by a game programmer, I was able to learn how to make short and then more complex programs to meet all the needs of my prototype.
